This will be my first year not celebrating Christmas. Apparently most Singaporeans don’t celebrate Christmas unless they are religious? Which makes it sound like its a purely Christian holiday… which I guess it is… But its so different to Australia, and I’m sure other places, where most people still celebrate it regardless of whether they are religious or not! It’s quite depressing actually… There are Christmas decorations up all around the city and Christmas music playing, but it just doesn’t feel like Christmas. I guess it’s just another day.
On the upside, there are going to be HUGE sales on during Christmas day and onwards until the new year. So, I GUESS that makes up for it. Spending money… The Asian way to celebrate. Lawl. Anyway, Merry Christmas guys! I’m going to celebrate it by watching the Supernatural Christmas episode and hoping I can get a bargain or two! ;D

Update: No, I haven’t died. I am still very much alive, as you can see :) I have been super busy these past few months with moving, looking for a job and with life in general. (Let’s be serious… I really don’t have a life *trollface*).
I am actually in Singapore at the moment job searching! I’m still unsure if I want to stay here or go back to Australia to work. To be honest, I’m having fun here and it’s much more awesome than Perth for MANY reasons. (Well, any place is better than Perth… so there’s not much competition there…) But with every place there are good things and bad things. In Singapore, I can’t deal with the weather and the people… AND THE BUGS. Oh dear god, why didn’t anyone tell me that Singapore was the land of the cockroaches?! I swear I’ve encountered close to 20 in the few months I’ve been here, and been bitten by a lot more mosquitoes. Anyone who knows me knows that I’m a typical girl when it comes to dealing with bugs. Meaning, I really don’t deal at all. Haha. I become a paranoid freak and its not fun for my sleeping schedule.
Also, I’m quite certain that the weather is bi polar. Sunny and blazing hot one minute and raining hardcore the next. And as for the people… yeah, let’s not even go there.
But we shall see… I may be back in Perth sooner than you think ;)
